Jakarta Cathedral
Jakarta Cathedral is a Roman Catholic Cathedral in Jakarta, which finished its construction in 1901. It is also the seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Jakarta. Designed by MJ Hulswit and Antonius Dijkmans, the church boasts the Gothic Revival architecture.
A praying center by its core, Jakarta Cathedral also offers many things for the lover of beauty. The wooden ceiling is wonderfully crafted, the inner-wall is filled with arts like the image of the Cathedral on a dried banana leaves and the stone work is amazing.
The Jakarta Cathedral has two ivory-colored tower (height: 60 meters) which looks amazing in dusk. Best spot to take a picture of the Cathedral? From Istiqlal Mosque which located right in front of it as a symbol of inter-religion peace in Indonesia.
